The show for which we have been waiting since late winter/early spring arrives in Boston tonight, as Pearl Jam plays the first of two shows at Fenway Park. It’s hard to believe that Eddie Vedder and company have never played Fenway before, especially when Theo Epstein was the GM of the Red Sox, but that is taken care of tonight.
It’s the fifth Fenway show For Dayna and me as we have seen Paul McCartney (2013), Tom Petty (2014), and Foo Fighters twice (2015). Cam will be joining us, as he did for both Foo Fighters shows last summer.
To make things interesting, Dayna and I each wrote down 40 songs we think will make tonight’s setlist. Whoever gets the most correct gets to pick the concert t-shirt we purchase. We compared lists already, and we had 25 songs that were the same, which means we came up with 55 possible songs for tonight.
Update: Through 25 songs, I hold a 15-14 lead
